I do have to admit that I love the changing of the seasons. Ok, ok you can call me crazy, because I just said that I don't really like winter and now I'm saying that I like the seasons changing. And No, I will not make up my mind because it already is made up.
I'll try and explain my way of thinking, as twisted as it maybe for even me to understand. Stay with me here and I will explain my 'train of thought' as best as I can.
Let's see I think I'll go with my dislikes about winter first. One it's cold. Yes, I know this is an obvious reason. Come on admit it who really likes the below zero wind chill, with winds howling right through you? Besides my husband and some family members on his father's side. Yep, you guessed it I made a full fledged Polar bear, but I'm not going to complain because he is the one who will go outside in the mornings clear the car off, start it and even shovel when it's needed. Simple because he would rather feel 'cool' then warm or hot.
The second reason is having to drive in the blasted stuff. This is mainly on the days when nature decides to pound us with it's wintery blast. Those of you who live in one of the many areas who get the snow, sleet and freezing rain have to agree right. I know there are some of you who have a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle, saying 'It's no problem to get through all I have do is to kick into all wheel drive and I get through'. Well I have one question for those of you who do have a 4x4 and are saying something similar to the above statement; How good are your brakes when you have to slam them and try to stop on a patch of 'black ice'? I will be the one that you pass and then be waving at you when you are in a ditch, field or any number other predicaments that the ice can put you into.
Now for my likes, well actually one like really. It's the clean, fresh look that the snow gives the world around me. It almost seems like nature is putting a blanket down on the world. The blanket looks like a magical one that will clean the world of all the pollution, preparing for a fresh clean start in spring. Kind of looks and sounds peaceful leaving me think that maybe the world does have a chance at peace, then I turn the T.V. on, what a mistake there huh.
What does winter time make you think of when you look out into the nice quite white world that it presents to us?
