I know you are probably reading this with a confused look on your face going what in the world is she talking about. If you could give me a couple of minutes I'll explain what I'm trying to say in a confusing sort of way. I will not apologize for the way the mind rambles on about spring and all the good things that seem to come with it, but I will apologize ahead of time if I get of topic. The mind tends to wonder a lot in springtime, I guess you could say that I get a touch of 'Spring Fever'.
Anyway on to trying to explain my way of thinking about springtime. Let's see where do I start...I know I'll start with the beginning of the season. I'm sure you know the time I'm talking of right. For those of us in the northern or cooler climates the first thing you see is the thawing of winter, this is always a good sign for me, my husband on the other hand gets sad because he loves his snow and cold. The next good sign, for anyone I'm sure, is the sighting of the first Red Breasted Robin of the season or any warm weather bird. Then sometimes if Nature decides to behave herself you may see new plant life starting to come up.
Yes you read that correctly, I said Nature Herself. I do consider Nature to be feminine as I'm sure most of you do. I know there are others out there that probably haven't given a thought to the femininity or masculinity of Nature and it's surroundings. To those of you who haven't given a thought to it one way or the other I just ask you to be open to the idea.
Yep, I'm slight off topic, I'll save this tangent for another random thought later on. Back to the topic at hand though. Spring for me represents change for the better. You see things coming to life all around you, so can it not represent anything but good change. Sure bad things can happen during this time of year, but I try to take a positive look at things, most of the time anyway, during this time of year. Things are changing, coming to life, and moving forward with things whether we want them to or not.
I'll leave you with one last thing to think on. As the seasons change, if they change where you live, think about what each season means for you in your life. Does Winter bring depression, sadness, ect.? What does Autumn represent for you? What about Spring and Summer? I would love to read and post your thoughts. In the meantime keeping thinking uniquely, creatively and expressing your thoughts no matter what they may be.
