Human Mutts of America
Yeah, Yeah I know there are some of you who still disagree with me, but just listen to my logic and think about it for just a moment, ok.
Now that I have your undivided attention, I hope anyway, here goes with my line of thought.
Personally the only ones who have a fair claim at saying they are Americans and their people always have been are the Native Americans, because they were the only ones here when the 'White Man' arrived. They were here well before Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas. Everyone else who is here in the good old USA, well if they search hard enough and long enough would find out that their relatives came from across one of the oceans.
For example, on one side of my family I know that I'm about third generation born German American, another side I'm Scotts-Irish and yet another I have more Irish, along with some French, English and a pinch of Native American. So you guessed it I'm your run of the mill American mutt. Yes I said I'm a mutt, what else would you call it? We call dogs who have several different breeds in them mutt's so why not call humans who are of several different ethnicities mutts too.
I'm sure there are some of you who honestly don't know where their family came from originally. That can be for several different reasons too, but hey that's ok because you are now an American. Someone who lives in the best country in the world, even though we may not think so sometimes it is the best place. One where our relatives had the choice to marry someone of a different ethnic background if they wanted too.
Most everyone here in America is a mutt of some sort. Hey I wouldn't doubt it if we even had some people here from another planet, but that's a topic for later though.
In the meantime keep thinking, expanding your knowledge and acceptance for others.
