I Need You, Mommie

A
s I was walking down the street one day, I saw a small boy standing on the steps of his home, crying. I stopped and asked him why he was crying.

He said, “ I want my mommie. She has gone away and left me. Oh please, Mommie come home to me. I need you, Mommie. And I am sure you need me. I am very lonesome and hungry, too. Please, God, send my mommie home to me. Mommie, Mommie, I need you and I am sure you need me. So come home Mommie. Come home to me.”

I talked to him and he stopped crying. Pretty soon a nice man came and took him to a place to be cared for by a nice lady. He needed love. I am sure there are a great many little boys and girls in the world that need love and care, just like that little boy did.
