I love SUMMER, too. Most people do. It has the smell of new mown hay and fields of ripening grain wavering in the sun, the beautiful mid-summer flowers, the call of the quails to their young, and the cattle grazing gently in the fields. Then in the evening, after the sun has sunk in the west, comes the whippoorwill call. For this is summertime and everything is beautiful.
Then comes FALL with its reds and golds everywhere you look. Orchards have ripening fruit hanging on every tree. The squirrels are busy gathering nuts to store them in some safe place for winter. The wild ducks and geese are getting ready to migrate to the south for the winter. Everything is beautiful. And the children are happy and hustle off to school for another nine months of study.
Next comes WINTER with snow and ice. The children all love it: For what is more interesting than skating, skiing, coasting, and sleigh rides?
So you see if we are happy and friendly to others, every season of the year can be beautiful. I, myself, could not say what season of the year is most beautiful. Let us accept each one as it comes. Be happy and everything will be more beautiful for everyone.
